Devon's Churches have been a focal part of life in the county for
centuries, providing both a spiritual and physical presence for the
communities they serve. They are an important part of the landscape
and of our national heritage.
The Devon Historic Churches Trust helps to ensure the survival and
maintenance of our county church heritage for the centuries to come.
The churches helped have been in both towns and the countryside. The Trust considers any application, large or small in Devon or in the Diocese of Exeter.
While grants are mainly directed to the maintenance of the historic fabric they are also sometimes made to assist with heating, where the inadequacies of an existing system have a damaging effect on the general structure.
